Featured Luthier

Each semester,  the HGF display case will showcase the guitar of an important contemporary luthier who has been profoundly influenced by one or more of the historic guitar makers represented in the Collection. Meeting with students and faculty, the Featured Luthier will share his insights on issues related to the evolution of the classical guitar. Students and faculty will be able to play the featured guitar, discuss its qualities with the luthier and compare it to historical instruments in the Collection.
